De Ultieme Baby-Uitzetlijst: Wat Heb Je Écht Nodig?

The Ultimate Baby Shower List: What Do You REALLY Need?

Let’s face it: when you’re expecting a baby, you’re inundated with advice and must-have lists. Family, friends, and especially baby stores act like you need to turn your entire home into a baby department store. But guess what? You barely use half of those items.

As a parent, you want convenience, quality and products that really make a difference. No nonsense. That's why I've put together this no-nonsense layette list for you: the real essentials you can't live without.

The Basics – You Can't Do It Without This

Baby Bed & Mattress – Your baby will be sleeping a lot (or at least you hope so). Choose a firm mattress that is safe and comfortable.

Car seat – No discussion. In Denmark, an approved car seat is mandatory. Make sure it meets safety standards and is easy to install.

Stroller or Baby Carrier – Whether you’re strolling through Copenhagen or running a quick errand, you need a safe and comfortable way to carry your baby.

Diapers & Wipes – Forget fancy alternatives. Good diapers and soft wipes save you a lot of hassle. Want to be eco-friendly? Reusable diapers are an option.

Bottles & Bottle Warmers – Even if you’re breastfeeding, a bottle can come in handy. A portable bottle warmer (like our model) is a lifesaver on the go.

Handy But Not Must-Haves

👉 Baby nest – Nice for the day, but not essential. Your baby sleeps well in the bed.

👉 Bouncer – Handy, but your baby quickly grows out of it. Not strictly necessary.

👉 Complete dinnerware sets – You don’t need 10 baby plates. A good sippy cup and a few spoons are enough.

Waste of Money – Don't Buy This

🚫 Baby shoes (new born) – Cute, but totally unnecessary. Your baby isn’t walking yet.

🚫 Too many clothes in size 50-56 – Your little one is growing fast. Shop smart and choose size 62-68.

🚫 Expensive toy sets for newborns – During the first few months, your baby will mainly look at you.

Don't Be Fooled – Choose Smart!

Forget those endless lists from baby shops. You don't need 101 gadgets, but a few smart products that really make parenting easier. And yes, that is exactly what we at Samigo stand for: simplicity, quality and a personal touch.
